When it comes to hotels, we like collaborative ventures – an assortment of artists, designers or architects contributing their unique visions to different parts of the building. We've already told you about the Hotel Puerta America in Madrid, the Hotel Fox in Copenhagen, and Winvian in Connecticut. Here's another great art hotel – Reflections Rooms in Bangkok.
Owner Anusorn Ngernyuang asked local artists to decorate each of the 17 rooms at the hotel, recycling existing items to produce unique, contemporary living spaces – and creating a vision of Thai art that the rest of the world is unlikely to have seen before. There's a room to suit almost everyone's taste, ranging from lurid and Warholesque to simple country 'cottage' style. Many of the objects they have created are also on sale in the hotel's gallery-restaurant.
Reflections offers all the mod cons, from wireless internet access, satellite TV, DVDs, mini bars, and air conditioner. Prices start at $60 a night. RM
