Cavo Tagoo has recently undergone a change of ownership and appearance, under the supervision of architect Paris Liakos. Like many of the Cyclades’ most beautiful buildings, the hotel is nestled into the island’s cliffside, with pools balanced against the horizon.
Natural rock is retained as decorative feature throughout the building, interwoven with wood and bamboo, and the dazzling whitewashed facades which the region is so well known for.
It’s a stunning combination of traditional rustic with modern minimalism. Remember Zorba, the Greek? That’s how I remember Greece. I guess time has gone by. Nevertheless, let’s dance.
