Island style
Talk about blending into your environment… This traditional blackhouse cottage on the Scottish island of Harris was recently renovated and given a contemporary makeover. Except for the exterior, which retains its thick stone walls and fantastic turf roof.
Blacksheep House is a self-catering rental accommodation, featuring an open-plan design with panoramic windows, an exposed timber frame, slate floors, a Japanese-style soak tub (with room for two), and two bedrooms (one on a sleeping platform). Best of all, however, it's right on the shore, with incredible views of the Hebridean island. RM
