We’ve been thinking for quite some time now about a whole new concept in vacationing, ’boutique rentals’. But we’re not going to tell you all about it just yet. There’s more to come… To whet your appetite, here’s a wonderful hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Home is located in the stylish Palermo Viejo district of the city.
Created by Buenos Aires local Patricia O’Shea and her English husband Tom Rixton, Home was conceived as a place for visiting friends to stay in Argentina. But it’s getting such rave reviews that their friends and everybody else’s are coming to stay.
The hotel itself is worth visiting, but if you want something a little different, the Loft (pictured below) is the place to stay. It’s located beside the main hotel and offers ‘the privacy of your own loft with all the benefits of staying in a hotel.’
It has a huge living space and outdoor patio with Argentine bbq, plus it sleeps four. It also has a kitchen, cable TV, Wi-Fi, TVs in bedroom and living room, stereo, iPod connectors, as well as access to all the hotel facilities like the spa, pool, sauna and bar. You can even have a personal chef, if you think you’ll need one.
And at $290 a night for two ($30 per additional person), it’s a bargain. They do ask you to book a minimum of five nights but, let’s face it, who would want to stay there for less?
