HOMA, Yuzi Paradise
Beijing this summer, but China‘s a big place worth exploring for many reasons other than the Olympics. Here’s one: the Hotel of Modern Art (HOMA), Yuzi Paradise. Located way south of the capital city, nestled in the Guilin mountains, Yuzi Paradise is a striking 1320-acre art park devoted to contemporary sculpture and art.

There’s also a memorial music garden for Teresa Tang, a hugely popular Taiwanese singer who died in 1995, and an interactive sculpture installation called Jimmy’s Cartoon World, featuring the work of Taiwanese cartoonist Jimmy.
