Baby Grand Hotel
If you've ever been tempted to draw all over the walls of your home, you'll probably love Baby Grand Hotel in Athens. It may be near the Acropolis, but there's nothing archeological in this boutique hotel.
Guests pass through an art garden to reach the reception, which is famous for its two Mini Cooper reception desks and psychedelic walls.
Inside, the decor was created by ten international urban and graffiti artists, so you've got a choice of street art, Japanese cartoons, superheroes or fairy-tale creations.
Baby Grand is also a bit of a night-spot. Its Meat Me restaurant is apparently a gathering place for the Athens fashionista, who no doubt also pass the hours away at the Moet et Chandon bar and Carita Spa.
I'm not sure I want to stay in a Batman-themed room, but that's the whole point of art hotels. Let your kids sleep with the superheroes, and stay next door surrounded in a whimsical Japanese pop art. RM
