A City in the Trees
Anyone who's ever built a treehouse in their garden (or dreamed of doing it) will love this amazing hotel, nestled in the Amazonian rainforest. The Ariau Amazon Towers Hotel is a network of treehouses built 70 feet off the ground and connected by four miles of double-decker walkways.
Located 35 miles from Manuas in Brazil, where the Rio Negro and Ariau Creek converge, the entire hotel is built at the level of the rainforest canopy, which gives guests a chance to live within the ecosystem without disturbing it. Walkways link the 250 rooms and other structures, which include two observation towers, (unbelievably) two swimming pools, a circular dining room, and honeymoon suite, 110 feet up a mahogany tree.
It's located in one of the most biologically diverse regions of the world, so expect to share your space with butterflies, monkeys, parrots, and even sloths!
