Perito Moreno Glacier

The Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina is one of the few ice fields in the world that is not only holding up against global worming but is actually still advancing on to Lake Argentina. In recent years the massive 3-mile wide glacier has grown to the point of touching land, creating a natural dam that split the lake in two.

    First time I heard the glacier break I thought there was approaching a thunderstorm, however I then learnt (after hearing it often) that it is the crazy sound it makes inside.
