Recently we told you about a floating concert pavilion (Floating Pavilion). Here’s another unusual use for a boat, the SeaSauna. Scandinavian designer Ari Leinonen of Scheiwiller Svensson Architects created it for his parents’ home in Sweden, the logic behind it being that you could steam yourself then jump straight into the water. Sounds good to us.
It’s built of solid wood, stained black on the outside but left untreated on the inside, and it floats on a pontoon, which can be towed. It’s available as a prefab structure in three sizes – small (to fit five people), medium (to fit ten) and large (to fit 15) through Modern Living. RM
