Why commute to an office tower when you can float through your working day? This is the theory put forward by Floating Offices, a design company in the UK. They've created specs for mini offices (called H2Offices) berthed in marinas.
The idea is to make use of under-utilized water spaces to tether mini-offices. They'd be big enough to accommodate one or two workers. Each would have a private work area, a sun deck, a kitchenette, storage space and foldaway bunks for occasional overnight stays. Obviously they'd also have great views, and if you get bored of your view, you can always relocate. Or set sail. RM
