Take a Picture. It Lasts Longer.

The great travel destinations of the world can often be identified by one simple iconic image: Big Ben, a cable car, the Statue of Liberty, a windmill, the Eiffel Tower. But how do you bring home a memory of such a place?

All across the world

So check out these souvenir photographs by Michael Hughes. We love his work! Instead of lugging home a miniature Great Sphinx or double decker bus, he photographs the souvenir right in its environment and the result is a cheeky, creative picture that makes a wonderful keepsake.

Isn't a cool photo on your wall better than a shelf full of dusty knickknacks? In today’s less is more mind set this might just be the perfect solution to accumulation.

Awesome idea! I love to travel, and I love to take photographs of my travels as well as collect souvenirs…but I’m no master photog so my shots are never really worth putting up on a wall…and there’s only so much shelf space for tchochkes. But even I can take photos like these! Perfect for framing and filling up a wall in a study or bonus room or den…and way more interesting and memorable than the usual photos or souvenirs. I am now making this my official policy: for every new place I go, I will try to take a photo like this. Thanks!
