Something's come up

When I was young I used to collect things on my travels. I once sat on a plane and contemplated starting an air sickness bag collection but I got distracted and never did. Steven J Silberberg, however, followed his whim – and the Air Sickness Bag Virtual Museum was born.

A collection of 2101 nausea bags from airlines all over the world, the online museum boasts scans of each and every one of them. Most are pretty dull – white bags with airline logos, that kind of thing. Others offer curious instructions like 'after use, fold towards you' (why towards?) and even cartoon representations of what the bag is to be used for. Others are rather beautiful (check out Air India's ornate florals).

Then there are the ironic ones, which we suspect never made an appearance on any airplane. Cheesy, but strangely fascinating. RM
