No Battery Flashlights

When you are at Verana, don’t ask for batteries for your flashlight. Each season we dispose hundreds of batteries. Used once, and then they become trash.
That doesn’t make sense anymore.

There are great flashlights out there which don’t need any batteries. Some you shake before you use them , others you crank. I like the dynamo flashlights. They remind me of my first bicycle I owned. It had a dynamo on the front tire and it powered the light. It feels great generating your own 'power' as you go.
Since I’m not regularly checking on new gimmicks maybe you have a tip for the next generation of no battery flashlights. Let us know. And for sure, you need a flashlight at Verana. HL

Verana has electricity throughout the resort. Each guest house has electricity with lighting and electric outlets. Electricity is 110v- like in the U.S. The trails and restaurant at Verana are lit at night. Flashlights are helpful to walk around the grounds at night. Plus if you want to walk into town to dance at the disco, flashlights are a necessity… No streetlights in the jungle…. but beautiful stars and moonglow.
