Dinner in the Sky

When we first saw this, we thought it as a joke. But amazingly enough, it's real. Dinner in the Sky is a novel way to host a dinner party. Invite all your friends to sit round a table and dangle 50m from the ground. Really.

Created by a company in Belgium that swears it's safe, Dinner in the Sky is available for eight-hour sessions. You can sit up to 22 people around the table, with three people in the middle (apparently, in addition to your chef and waiter, you can hire an entertainer – a trapeze artist, perhaps?).

And the whole set-up can be moved to a destination of your choosing (presumably within the general vicinity of Belgium for now), so if you want to hang out above a golf course or a castle, they can make it happen. And – as if that weren't dramatic enough – you can have a second crane suspend a band alongside you. Sounds perfect for a small wedding…

We only have one question – what happens if you need the bathroom?

Angela, what did they serve you for diner? This sounds rediculous.

Been there, done it. I tell you, it felt pretty strange. Don’t know if I would do it again. AH

Any comments?
