Floating on the water and bathing it, says Dutch artist Wieki Somers, are so similar, it made sense to make a boat into a bath. Or a bath into a boat… The Bathboat is a boat turned inside out, so the water's on the inside. It's 'a vehicle on dry land where the mind can drift away, or drift home after a full day with shiploads of information. It will wash away the dust of the city.'
The Bathboat is made of oak and red cedar, with epoxy and lacquer. It is available for sale through Galerie Kreo in Paris, price on demand. RM
