Above the trees
You may remember we recently told you about some amazing ways of traveling above the treetops (Treetop travel). Here's the newest addition to the SolVin stable. The Canopy Glider was launched at the end of last year on a scientific mission into biodiversity in the Vanuatu Islands.
It's an airship with two balloon components, one helium to keep it afloat and the other a traditional hot-air balloon that manoeuvres the glider. It skims low over the canopy (with the help of a microlight engine) to collect samples. What will they come up with next?
