Snow Days Chicago

They've turned up the heat in Los Angeles, which makes it hard to imagine some places in the world are still cold. Just a few weeks ago, in Illinois, cold weather enthusiasts got together for Snow Days Chicago, a five-day festival featuring a national snow sculpting competition.

In addition to dog sled demos and a snowboard rail jam, organizers threw down blocks of snow in Grant Park, and artists (professionals and high school students)set to work. Our favorite of the 27 sculptures is the Obamanable Snowman, pictured above left, featuring the city's favorite son. RM
