Serpentine Gallery Pavilion

Serpentine Gallery PavilionSerpentine Gallery in London's Hyde Park erects a fascinating temporary structure, which is both a gallery and a work of art in itself. This year, Scandinavian creatives have had their chance to make an impression on the park. The 2007 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion is the work of Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson and Norwegian architect Kjetil Thorsen (of architectural practice Snøhetta). It's made of timber and built to resemble a spinning top, with paths spiralling from the lawn to its roof.
