No, it's not a Christmas deco
I like innovative ideas for buildings, even if they are wildly fantastical or even a little preposterous. Here's a design by Daniele Gualeni called ART.rainbow. It was conceived of as a solar-powered pavilion for exhibitions and parties, but I can also see it being turned into some kind of igloo hotel.
I once went inside an art installation called Colourscape, which was made up of colored tents. Each section was a different color and created a different mood. Imagine being in an igloo cabin in which you could change the color of the whole room?
Now back to the original concept – a disco/UFO pavilion… Having a huge glowing orb in your back yard would certainly beat renting a marquee. I'm not sure how it would be transported, but that's just the nitty-gritty. It looks cool. RM
