Vacation Spots: A House for Nomads

Originally a musician, American architect Rick Joy turned his creative hand to architecture in the early 1990s and has been creating private homes in desert locations ever since. Here’s one of his finest works, the Desert Nomad House, located at the base of the Tucson Mountains in Arizona. The house is made up of three separate rusted steel boxes, with interiors finished in maple walls, floors and ceilings. A great – and unusual – getaway.
