Places to Stay: Vacation Rental in Denmark

Architect Søren Sarup created this holiday cottage in Agger, Denmark, with openness, warmth, simplicity and ‘generous adventure’ in mind. In fact it takes its name, ‘AAVEGO’, from these values: ‘Aabenhed, Varme, Enkelhed og Generøse Oplevelser’. A labor of love, it came to life after the architect quit his stressful job and decided to build the entire building himself, by hand. It’s a vision of modern simplicity, located among the dunes overlooking the North Sea. Surrounded by water and moorland, it serves as the perfect base for an active vacation (the region offers golf, kitesurfing, surfing, canoeing, kayaking, paragliding and fishing) or a meditative /div> retreat.
